Moon Curser Vineyards: More Wines for the Season

Here are more great wines for the festive season, or any season really!

2024 Broad Daylight $25.99

Broad Daylight is a blend of 69% Pinot Gris, 14% Muscat, 11% Viognier and 6% Arneis. The grapes were hand harvested from the Home Vineyard and the Moon Curser Vineyard on the Osoyoos East Bench, as well as the G.H.S. Vineyard in Osoyoos West. The fruit was sorted twice prior to whole-berry pressing. Fermentation was kept cool in 1,500 L and 1000 L stainless steel fermenters. This wine was filtered but not fined.

Pronounced aromas of white tree blossoms, peach, pear, yellow grapefruit pith and dried grass. This dry wine is medium+ in body with medium acidity. The textured palate offers notes of peach, pear, yellow grapefruit pith, hay and bitter almond with some minerality on the long finish.

Would love to pair this wine with fish and chips!

2022 Cabernet Sauvignon $46.99

This Cabernet Sauvignon was hand harvested from the Fernandes Vineyard on the Osoyoos East Bench. The grapes were sorted twice prior to destemming and pumping through to fermenters without any crushing. Fermentation was kept warm-to-hot in 5,000 L to 7,000 L stainless steel fermenters, with gentle pumpovers three times daily. Malolactic fermentation occurred in tank. The wine was aged in oak (32% new, 68% neutral French oak) for 24 months, specifically 225L barriques from François Frères and Alain Fouquet cooperages. This wine was filtered but not fined.

After six hours in the decanter there are aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, black cherry, black plum, salty, black liquorice and sweet spice. This is a dry, full bodied wine with high acidity and medium+, fine tannins. The palate offers notes of blackberry, black plum, mocha, blackcurrant, clove and even touches of black cherry on the long finish.
